Dublin is the seat of Laurens County, Georgia. Due to its location midway between Atlanta and Savannah, the city is home to several distribution centers from a variety of industries. The Oconee Bridge, in Dublin, was one of Confederate President Jefferson Davis' last stops before he was captured by Union forces in 1865.
