Peachtree City is a planned city within Fayette County, Georgia. In the 1950s, a group of real estate developers bought up over 12,000 acres to build the community, which was chartered in 1959. According to plan, Peachtree City was developed into villages, each with its own infrastructure; its current villages are Aberdeen, Braelinn, Glenloch, Kedron and Wilksmoor. The use of golf carts constitute a secondary mode of transportation within the city, with paths throughout its villages.
