Auburn is the seat of DeKalb County, Indiana. The city is home to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museuma and the National Automotive and Truck Museum of the United States. The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival is also held there each Labor Day, as well as the Kruse International auction, said to be the world's largest automotive auction. The Auburn Automobile Company had its headquarters and factory in Auburn, until the company went out of business in the late 1930s.
