Mount Pleasant, Iowa is the seat of Henry County. It is home to Iowa Wesleyan College and it is well known for a 5 day festival which takes place Labor Day weekend. The festival, Midwest Old Thresher's Reunion, recognizes the agricultural heritage of the American Midwest.
