Bailey, Michigan is an unincorporated community in northeastern Casnovia Township, in Muskegon County.

As an unincorporated community, Bailey is without defined boundaries, but it is located on M-37 (Newaygo Road) and Bailey Road. The city of Grant is 3.9 miles north, while the village of Casnovia is 4.2 miles south of Bailey. The city of Muskegon is 25.0 miles east, and Grand Rapids is 25.8 miles south of the community.

The community was named for a Mr. Bailey, who came to the region in 1865 to cut timber, and named the settlement that grew up around his timber operations for himself. A post office was established in Bailey on October 24, 1872, with James I. Walker as postmaster. The Chicago & West Michigan established a station stop there on its line from Grand Rapids, but they named their station County Line, as Bailey is near both the Newaygo and Kent county lines. The C&WM later became the Pere Marquette/Chesapeake & Ohio Railway and enlarged the stock yards in Bailey around 1905.
