Cedar Springs Museum & Historical Society
Maintained and operated by the Cedar Springs Historical Society, a membership organization, the museum is located on Cedar Street in Cedar Springs, Michigan. Among the museum’s displays are a turn-of-the-century home, an old general store, Native American history, and displays highlighting the area’s lumbering, farming, and railroad eras, as well as the one-room Payne School, that was moved to Morley Park in 1971. Currently being renovated by the Cedar Springs Theatre Association, the Kent Theatre is a community-owned and operated venue for films, live theater, and other public events. When completed, the 300-seat theater will feature 35 mm, 16 mm, and digital film projection, and its stage is used by local theater groups for performances and musical presentations by church groups and local bands, and as a meeting venue for businesses and other organizations.
