Hotels, motels, inns, lodges, resorts, bed and breakfasts, RV parks, campgrounds, and other guest lodging facilities in Indian River, Michigan are the focus of this guide.

Situated in the center of the northern Lower Peninsula, Indian River is about thirty miles south of the Mackinac Bridge, between Burt and Mullett Lakes, and not far from both Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, in the midst of several state parks and forest land. Centrally located between Cheboygan, Gaylord, Mackinaw City, and Petoskey, there are several casinos, movie theaters, bowling alleys, downhill ski resorts, and other entertainment venues, as well as restaurants and shopping venues nearby, and the area is ideal for camping, snowmobiling, off-road vehicle riding, hiking, and hunting.

Therefore, there are many reasons for people to visit the Indian Lake region. In the early years of the community, people often arrived by train or by steam-powered passenger boats, and some still do arrive by water, through the Inland Waterway. Today, most people drive, however. Interstate 75 runs through the community, and the Pellston Airport and Pratt-Campbell Field are also nearby.

Situated on two large lakes, with two rivers and a creek within the census-designated area, Indian River is itself a destination for many, while others may use the community as a base for other adventures, or stop for the night while passing through.

Guest accommodations in Indian Lake are appropriate topics for this guide.
