Bordered by Owosso on the west, by Corunna on the east, the Shiawassee River to the north, and Cornell Road (Monroe Street) to the south, Middletown, Michigan is in Caledonia Township, Shiawassee County.
Middletown is an unincorporated community, which wouldn't otherwise have defined boundaries, but it is also a census-designated place, giving it boundaries established for the purposes of the census.
M-71 (Corunna Avenue) is the main route through the community. Another is Aiken Road, which runs south from M-71.
Besides Owosso and Corunna, other cities and villages within twenty miles of Middletown include Vernon, Durand, Bancroft, Ovid, Oakley, Lennon, Morrice, Perry, Chesaning, Laingsburg, Gaines, Byron, New Lothrop, Elsie, and Swartz Creek, while the unincorporated communities of Five Points, Kerby, Smith Crossing, Shiawasseetown, Bennington, Five Points North, Newburg, Wolf Crossing, Pittsburg, and Henderson are within ten miles.
Although Middletown has retained its own identity through its status as a census-designated place, its role is predominantly as an extension of Owosso and Corunna.
There are no schools within the CDP, no industries, and very few commercial businesses within the CDP, but online resources for any business, organization, event, or entity within Middletown, Michigan would be an appropriate topic for this category.
