Situated in northeastern Bentley Township, Rhodes, Michigan is an unincorporated community in southeast Gladwin County.

Although unincorporated communities in Maine don't have defined boundaries, the locality is concentrated around the intersection of Rhodes Road and Cummings Road, with Whitefeather Road in the southern part of the community.

Cities and villages within twenty-five miles of Rhodes include Pinconning, Standish, Sterling, Beaverton, Gladwin, Midland, and Omer, while the unincorporated communities of Estey, Nine Mile, Mount Forest, and Albright Shores are within ten miles.

The community was named for an early settler, lumberman, and postmaster. The settlement was founded by Murray Bentley Rhodes, who was named postmaster when the office was established on December 21, 1889. Today, the Rhodes post office serves most of Bentley Township.

Rhodes was a station stop on the Michigan Central Railroad.

Bentley is a small residential community that supports a few churches and some commercial and light industrial businesses.
