Rockwood First Congregational Church
Meeting in the old schoolhouse near the current site of the Rockwood post office, a group of Protestant Christians began meeting, with Sabbath services led on alternating Sundays by pastors from the Flat Rock Congregational church and the Flat Rock Methodist Church. Officially formed in 1886, the Rockwood First Congregational Church completed construction of its sanctuary building that same year. A member of the Michigan Conference of Congregational Christian Churches, its schedules are posted.
