Wyoming is served by eight different school districts. The central portion of the city is served by Wyoming Public Schools, while the southwest panhandle is served by Grandville Public Schools, and the south extension is served by Byron Center Public Schools. The southeastern portion of the city is served by Kelloggsville Public Schools, the area south of 56th Street and east of the railroad is served by Kentwood Public Schools, the small, newly-annexed section near Hall Street and Freeman Avenue is served by Grand Rapids Public Schools, the northeastern part of the city is served by Godwin Heights Public Schools, and the northern section is served by Godfrey-Lee Public Schools.
Of the eight districts, four of them have the majority of their buildings in Wyoming, while Grand Rapids Public Schools, Kentwood Public Schools, and Byron Center Public Schools don't have any campuses in Wyoming.

Affiliated with the First Protestant Reformed Church of Grand Rapids, the organization first looked into establishing a high school, but later decided to start with a grade school, which was opened in 1946. Formed in order to fill a void left when a local Christian school association announced the 2010 closure of its elementary school in Wyoming, Michigan. The Potter's House is a Christian school in Wyoming, Michigan. Founded in 1974 as a weekly program called Kid Power, it evolved into a school by 1981, moving into the former Southwest Christian School building the following year. Established in 1925, its current campus was built in 1973, with additions in 1994, 2012, and 2019, the seminary is situated on ten acres in Wyoming, Michigan.
