Held at the Chippewa County Fairgrounds in Montevideo, Minnesota each July, the agricultural fair offers a variety of activities, events, competitions, displays, and vendors. Chippewa County Historical Society
The Society operates Historic Chippewa City on twenty acres at the intersection of Highways 7 and 59 in Montevideo, Minnesota. Consisting of twenty-four buildings replicating a late 1800s village, the project was begun in 1965, and added to over the years. The history of the Village is put forth, including current projects, and a calendar of events.

Formerly known as the Montevideo Country Club, the golf course was originally a nine-hole course when it was built in 1923, but the second nine was completed in 1994. Including a pro shop and a club house, the golf course and its facilities are described in detail, along with a calendar of events, hours, and fee schedules.

Located on the Chippewa County Fairgrounds, the 4/10 mile dirt track is open from May through August. The event began in 1977 when Funk’s Seed Corn hosted a variety plot tour at the Duaine Kurtzbein farm about six miles northeast of Montevideo, Minnesota, which included some old engines and antique tractors on display. A group formed, known as the Minnesota Valley Antique Farm Power and Machinery Association, which hosted its first show in 1980. In 1998, the group acquired a 25-acre parcel of land just east of Montevideo, where it has been hosted since.

The Milwaukee Road Heritage Center
The attraction began as the Minn-Kota Railroad Historical Society, an effort to preserve the history of the railroads in western Minnesota. The group later adopted its current name, and focused its efforts on preserving the history of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad, more commonly known as the Milwaukee Road. Membership information is offered, and its model railroad is highlighted, along with a calendar of events and vendor info.
