This guide to faith, spirituality, and religion in Saint Cloud, Minnesota may include places of worship, ministries, and topics of a religious or spiritual nature, regardless of the religion, denomination, or creed.
At the time of this writing, I have been unable to locate a website for a place of worship for any other than the various forms of Christian churches in Saint Cloud, nor have any been submitted, but sites representing places of worship or ministries of any religion in Saint Cloud would be welcomed in this category.
Judging from the number of Catholic parishes and schools in Saint Cloud, it seems likely that a large percentage of the city's faith population are Catholic, but churches from several other denominations, as well as independent and non-denominational Christian churches, are amply represented, as well.
Some of the older congregations in Saint Cloud, although they are not necessarily still worshipping in the original building, include the Cathedral of Saint Mary (1855), Saint John's Episcopal Church (1856), the First Presbyterian Church (1864), Saint John Cantius Church (1895), First United Methodist Church (1909), and the Church of Saint Anthony of Padua (1920). There may be older churches, as some of the church websites don't offer a history.
There are several other churches in Saint Cloud, several associated with the Roman Catholic Church. There is also a church affiliated with the Orthodox Church in America.
The Lutheran denominations represented include, but may not be limited to, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and the North American Lutheran Church.
There are one or two independent Baptist churches, as well as churches associated with Converge Worldwide.
Other Christian denominations include the Assemblies of God, Christian International Network of Churches, Church of God in Christ, Episcopal Church USA, Evangelical Covenant Church, Evangelical Free Church of America, Presbyterian Church (USA), United Church of Christ, United Methodist Church, and Unitarian Universalist, as well as Protestant churches that appear not to be affiliated with any denomination, and at least one that identifies itself as interdenominational.
These and any other sites representing any other church, chapel, kingdom hall, mosque, parish, reading room, temple, synagogue, or any other place of worship or religious center in Saint Cloud, are appropriate for this category.
Religious programs or ministries of any kind, in Saint Cloud are also welcomed here, as are any topics related to faith, religion, or spirituality in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.
