The city of Battlefield, in Greene County, Missouri, has no post office and shares a zip code with Brookline. The city was named for the 1861 Battle of Wilson's Creek, one of the first large battles in the War of Northern Aggression, which was fought just west of the city's location. The city was incorporated as a 4th class city in 1971. Battlefield is southeast of Brookline, southwest of Springfield, and east of Republic.
