Platted in 1861, New Cambria is in Macon County, Missouri. The small city is situated along Missouri Route 149, just north of US Highway 36. New Cambria is east of Lingo and Bucklin, west of Callao and Bevier, south of Ethel, north of Wien and Lagonda, northeast of Marceline, and southeast of Hart. St. Joseph is about one hundred and sixteen miles to the west.
