Stanton is an unincorporated community in Franklin County, Missouri. Stanton was an important town along US Route 66 before the construction of Interstate Highway 44 due to the nearby Meramec Caverns, which were prominently advertised along the highway on barns. Currently the town is served by Interstate Highway 44, and situated at its junction with Missouri Route W, where there are several businesses and attractions located, including consignment shops, gas stations, a fireworks store, an antique toy museum, the Jesse James Wax Museum, Reptile Ranch, and a KOA approved campground. Stanton is northwest of Miramiguoa Park, north of Meramec State Park, west of Twin Springs, northeast of Sullivan and Oak Groves, and southwest of Anaconda and St. Clair.
