Founded largely by German immigrants, the small city of Strasburg, Missouri was named for the European city of Strasbourg, which is now part of France, but was then in Germany. Strasburg is in Cass County, located in the center-west part of the state. Strasburg is served by Missouri Highways 58 and E, and the West Branch of Crawford Creek flows through the eastern portion of town. Baldwin Park and Pleasant Hill are west of Strasburg, and Kingsville is west. Kansas City is about forty miles to the northwest.
