Named for C. M. Bain, an early resident, the town of Bainville is located in Roosevelt County, in northeastern Montana. The town was founded in 1906. Bainville is located along US Highway 2 or, more locally, Highway 327. Bainville is east of Lanark, north of Lakeside, and west of the North Dakota border.
