Situated within the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, the town of Browning is in Glacier County, Montana. Browning is the social, economic and administrative headquarters for the Blackfeet Indians residing south of the international border. North Browning and South Browning are census-designated areas that are generally thought of as being within the city, although not strictly within its official boundaries. Browning is located at the intersection of US Highways 2 and 89, east of Kiowa, west of Meriwether and Fort Piegan, and south of the province of Alberta, Canada.
