Grass Range, Montana is a small town in Fergus County, probably named for its function as a range for cattle. Its post office was established in 1883. The town is situated along US Highway 87, just south of Montana Highway 200. Grass Range is northeast of Becket, its closest neighbor, and west of Winnett, near to the center of Montana.
