Brookline is a town in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. The community was initially a part of Dunstable, Massachusetts, then becoming West Hollis and, in 1769, it was granted as Raby, before being renamed Brookline in 1798, at the suggestion of a prominent citizen who had moved there from Brookline, Massachusetts. The town is bordered by Mason, Milford and Hollis to the west, north and east, respectively, and by Townsend and Pepperell, Massachusetts to the south.
