Kensington is a rural town in southeastern Rockingham County, New Hampshire, approximately eight miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Initially a parish of Hampton, the town was incorporated in 1737 by Governor Jonathan Belcher, and named for Baron Kensington, the owner of Kensington Palace in London, England. Kensington is west of Hampton, east of East Kingston, and south of Exeter.
