Bordered on the west by the Squamscott River, the town of Stratham is in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Settled in 1631, the area was known as the Squamscott Patent or Point of Rocks before it was incorporated 1716, as the sixth incorporated town in New Hampshire Colony. Stratham is north of Exeter and southwest of Portsmouth.
