Beach Haven, New Jersey is a borough on Long Beach Island in Ocean County, incorporated in 1890 from parts of Eagleswood Township. The community was originally established as a beach-front resort community in 1873, mostly housing wealthy summer residents from Philadelphia. Beach Haven West is a census-designated place in Stafford Township, Ocean County, which is actually situated directly north of the borough of Beach Haven, on the mainland.
