Incorporated in 1860, Cinnaminson Township is in Burlington County, bordering the Delaware River. The township was named for the Lenape Native American word, Senamensing, which meant sweet water. Cinnaminson is east of Palmyra and southeast of Riverton, and serves as an eastern suburb of Philadelphia.
