The Cumberland County township of Deerfield was first incorporated as a precinct in 1748, becoming one of New Jersey’s initial townships in 1798. The unincorporated, census-designated place known as Rosenhayn is located within the township. Deerfield is bordered by Upper Deerfield Township, Fairfield Township, Millville, Vineland, and Salem County.
