The city borders Bellmawr, Brooklawn, Camden, Haddon Township, and Mount Ephraim, as well as Gloucester County and the Delaware River. Gloucester Township, formed in 1695, and incorporated as one of New Jersey’s original townships in 1798, is also in Camden County, although it was part of Gloucester County at the time that it was established.
