The borough of Laurel Springs, in Camden County, New Jersey, was incorporated in 1913. Laurel Springs is bordered by Lindenwold and Stratford, and is located about fourteen miles from the Walt Whitman Bridge that connects Philadelphia to New Jersey. Once the only way from Philadelphia to the shore, many people stopped and stayed in Laurel Springs rather than continuing on south.
