There are two townships in New Jersey by the name of Mansfield. The Burlington County township was first formed in 1688, re-formed by Royal Charter in 1770, and incorporated as one of New Jersey’s original townships in 1798. Unincorporated communities within the township include Columbus, Georgetown, Hedding, and Kinkora. The Warren County township was formed in 1754 as Mansfield-Woodhouse Township, and incorporated as Mansfield Township in 1798, also as one of the state’s original townships. The communities of Anderson, Beattystown, and Port Murray are unincorporated areas within the township. Topics relating to either of these townships are appropriate for this category.
