Formed from portions of Morris Township in 1740, Roxbury was incorporated as a township in 1798, becoming one of New Jersey’s initial townships. Unincorporated communities within the township include Kenvil, Succasunna, also known as Succasunna-Kenvil, as well as Berkshire Valley, Landing, Ledgewood, and Port Morris. Tom’s Diner, in Roxbury, was featured in the Cyndi Lauper music video, Time After Time.
