The township of Westampton is in the northern part of Burlington County, New Jersey. Westampton was created from portions of Northampton in 1850. Two major highways and one county route pass through the township. Interstate 295 runs through the northwestern part of the township for about two and a half miles, and just over four miles of the New Jersey Turnpike is in Westampton. County Route 541 runs from the northwestern section of the township to the southeastern corner. Westampton is bordered to the south by Mount Holly.
