Wood-Ridge, in Bergen County, New Jersey, was incorporated as a borough in 1894, from portions of Bergen Township, although the community was known by that name by the early 1700s, although it wasn’t thought of as a separate town until the 1880s. The borough is bordered by Carlstadt, Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi, Moonachie, and Wallington. Route 17 passes through Wood-Ridge.
