The village of Questa is located on the Enchanted Circle scenic highway, near the confluence of the Rio Grande and the Red River, in Taos County, New Mexico. Originally named San Antonio del Rio Colorado, the community’s name was changed to Questa by a U.S. postmaster, who misspelled the name, which was supposed to have been Cuesta. The village is located just west of the Latir Peak Wilderness and Carson National Forest, and northeast of the Wild Rivers Recreation Area.
