Previously known as Bush Hill, this city in Guilford and Randolph counties, North Carolina was named Archdale in honor of John Archdale, an early Quaker governor. The early population of the community were predominantly Quaker. Situated on I-85, northeast of Trinity and southwest of Freeman Mill, Archdale was incorporated in 1969.
