Archer Lodge, North Carolina is located in Johnston County, about seven miles south of Wendell and six miles northeast of Clayton. A Masonic Lodge named Archer No. 157 was established in 1854, at what was then known as Creachville. The lodge building was razed and its charter destroyed by General Sherman’s Union army in 1865. The lodge received a new charter after the war, but it was designated Archer Lodge No. 165. The people of Archer Lodge incorporated as a town in 2009.
