Biltmore Forest is a town and a planned residential community in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Mr. C.D. Beadle, who had been associated with the firm of Frederick Law Olmsted of Boston, planned the preservation of the area that is now known as Biltmore Forest. The community was incorporated as a town in 1923 and, while Asheville annexed a portion of Biltmore Forest in 1929, that action was reversed by the North Carolina legislature in 1935.
