Flat Rock, North Carolina is a village in Henderson County. The community began with large summer estates, built by affluent Charlestonians, Europeans, and plantation owners of the South’s low country, with the first of the great estates being constructed in 1827. Flat Rock is south of Valley Hill, Barker Heights and Hendersonville, and northwest of Zirconia.
