Walkertown, North Carolina is part of the Piedmont Triad in northeastern Forsyth County, and is named for Dr. Robert Walker, who was living at the site as early as 1771. Although Walker left the area to move West, his home remained standing through the mid-20th century. Walkertown is northeast of Winston-Salem, and southwest of Stokesdale.
