The town of Wallace is in Duplin County, North Carolina. Wallace is south of Rose Hill, east of Elizabethtown, and west of Jacksonville. The town was initially known as Duplin Roads, and was incorporated as such in 1873. Its name was changed in 1899, to honor Stephen D. Wallace, a railroad official.
