Beach, North Dakota is the seat of Golden Valley County. Settled around 1900, Beach was incorporated as a village in 1908. and as a city in 1909, and named for Captain Warren C. Beach, who led an expedition of railroad surveyors through the area in 1880. Beach is situated in western North Dakota, along its border with Montana.
