Enderlin, North Dakota is in both Cass and Ransom counties. Founded in 1891, local folklore has it that its name was derived from “end-der-line”, a semi-German reference to its one-time position as the terminus of the Soo Line Railroad’s main line through North Dakota. Enderlin is southwest of Fargo and West Fargo, and southeast of Jamestown.
