Mohall, North Dakota is the seat of Renville County. Founded in 1901 by M.O. Hall, a businessman from Duluth, the city was originally named Hall, but that name conflicted with the name of another town in North Dakota at the time, so it was changed to Mohall in 1902, for the first and middle initials, and the last name of its founder. Mohall became the county seat in 1910. Mohall is northwest of Minot.
