Dalton is a village in Wayne County, Ohio. Originally, the area that is now Dalton was comprised of three villages. They were Dover, surveyed in 1817, Sharon, and Middleton, which were surveyed in 1828. In 1856, the three villages were incorporated under the name of Dalton, for the Georgia city by that name.
