Trenton, Ohio is a city in northeastern Butler County. Originally located in Madison Township, the city later annexed land in Wayne Township. The town was created in 1816, after Michael Pearce and David Enyeart combined their land to plat the town. The community was first known as Bloomfield, which was changed to Trenton to avoid confusion with another Ohio town named Bloomfield.
