Ardmore is the seat of Carter County, Oregon. The city is the located south of the Arbuckle Mountains, and at the eastern margin of the Healdton Basin. As with many other towns, Ardmore owes its existence to the construction of the railroad through the area. It is in the south-central part of Oklahoma.
