Blair is a small town in northern Jackson County, Oklahoma. B.B. Zinn passed through the area in 1884 as a 17 year-old cowhand on a cattle drive, returning as a married man in 1892 and opening a general store and post office, named Dot, after his daughter. When the town was incorporated in 1901, its name was changed to Blair, for John A. Blair, a railroad official.
