Broken Arrow is a city in northeastern Oklahoma. It is primarily in Tulsa County, although a portion of the city is in western Wagoner County. Lots for the town were sold in 1902 by the railroad, and the new community was named Broken Arrow by William S. Fears, secretary of the railway company. Its name comes from an old Creek community in Alabama.
