Choctaw is the oldest chartered town in Oklahoma. It was a community in 1890, although it wasn't given actual status as a town until a territorial governor was appointed for Oklahoma in 1893, and wasn't incorporated until 1904, three years before Oklahoma became a state. It is located in Oklahoma County, roughly in the center of the state.
