Crescent is a city in Logan County, Oklahoma. The founding of the city began with the Indian Appropriations Act of 1889, and began when William Brown began selling general merchandise from his wagon, later moving into a log cabin. When its first post office was established in 1890, it was known as Crescent City, later shortened to Crescent.
