Located at the junction of State Highways 45 and 58, Helena is a small town in southeastern Alfalfa County, Oklahoma. Its post office was established in 1894, and named for its first postmaster, Helen S. Monroe. When the railroad bypassed the nearby community of Carwile, approaching Helena, the population of Helena grew considerably, and the town was incorporated in 1903.
